So much has been happening with the book that I haven't been on here much.
The next big event I'm planning is in McCloud for their big Flea Market on June 5th. I also have a book signing and free intro class scheduled at Journey Spiritual Center in Shingle Springs, CA. I'm so very happy to be meeting so many people who are on their road to creating the life they really want.
For me, art is a big part of that ideal life. For that reason, I've been working on art a lot lately. I'm really pleased to be offering a class for people to come and play with art with me! We'll be making tiny pieces of art called Artist's Trading Cards. Each participant with have the opportunity to create cards that reflect their journey and whatever inspires them! At the end of class, we'll see if anyone wants to trade. Otherwise, each person will take home their tiny treasure to be enjoyed and provide inspiration.
I would love to see hear from you if you're interested in coming to a class.

Upcoming Books Signing in Redding, CA and Folsom, CA
I'm so excited about the book signing at Bogbean Books in Redding, CA! The people I've talked to from the store are so nice, especially Janice! I'll publish some photos after I get home. Gosh, it's nice to be welcomed, isn't it? I'll have books, CD's and inspirational cards available for purchase.
The following week, I'll be at Heart to Hearth Gallery and Gathering Place,6611 Folsom-Auburn Road, Suite L (near Greenback) in Folsom, CA. The lovely owners, Kate and Marion have invited me to have a signing and share some goodies with you all. I'm also considering offering a class at Heart to Hearth, so if that sounds interesting to you, please let me know.
Also, I've scheduled a class for July 16th at the Journey Center in Shingle Springs, CA http://www.journeyspiritualcenter.com. I'm going to offer a one-hour informational class on the process of letting go of what hinders your personal growth while choosing and embracing what you truly want! There will also be books for sale at the class and I'll be available for signings as well as consultations after the informal class.
I hope to see you at one or more of these upcoming events!

BIG sign for book signings. :)

I've had so much fun creating this large sign to bring to book signings. this sign is about 3 feet wide and 5 feet tall! It is my hope that people would come visit me at shows and fairs. That's why I painted this. Once the paint cures, I varnish it, and that cures.... We'll hit the road!

Exciting changes with WiYOF
Hi, all! Last week was a very exciting week.
First, I've been working on a set of 30 beautiful cards that support the principals in the book. I selected 30 amazing photos from my collection and matched them up with each chapter to create a special deck that will inspire positive changes and support good choices.
Second, I visited Body and Hearth in Folsom. I talked with the owners Marion and Kate and we've scheduled a book signing along with an informational talk on April 30th. We are also planning a six-week long workshop that we'll schedule following the gathering. Please let me know if you would like to be a participant in the workshop.
With a week like that, I can't wait to see what next week brings.

Moving along
The book signings this winter have been just wonderful! I'm so grateful to everyone who came and made each event go fun!
The book is currently available at several stores. Please stop by the web site: www.wiyof.com to see a complete list. Also, check out the stores who are deciding and let them know you're interested.
The publisher I chose does not offer distribution for the initial size I ordered, so the next batch will be a little bit different. Once I have the final draft finished, the book will be available through all the major on-line book sellers! Yipppeeee!
As I reflect on the monumental changes that took place in my life in 2010, I am happy. And, I'm looking forward to a prosperous 2011 and wish the same for you.
Blessings,
Laura

getting ready for book signings
If you thought that you are finished with a book when you're done writing, your wrong! When I finish a piece of art, I hang it or deliver it to the new owner. It's done. I can enjoy it, but, as far at that particular piece is concerned, I'm done. With a book, finishing is just the beginning!
First, Lulu.com (the publisher I selected) does not offer distribution for the size I initially selected, so I gotta re-do the publishing part. This is completely my fault, btw, lulu has been awesome. They have not charged me for one thing extra and shipping has been very fast.
Next, comes signings. I want them to go very well and want to make sure that everyone that comes has a great time. So, of course, I'm putting lots of work into that part. Today I made a tablecloth to fit perfectly over the table I bought just for signings. I also ordered an instant camera so that I can give pictures of myself with readers when they buy a copy of my book. My head is spinning with "what to do next" and my printer just ran out of ink. So, I guess I need to give into my body and get some rest.
The creative process brings with it such an adrenaline for me, it's always been hard for me to pause once I'm on a roll. But, this project is a long-term one so I better pace myself.
Hope your creative endeavors are going well.
Blessings!
